In addition: paper or newspaper to cover the workstation, pinboard needles, cups (3 pcs.) and ice-cream sticks (art. no.: 1403203) for mixing, old lid, metal sponge, kitchen paper

Instructions

1.Pin the back of the stretcher frame with pinboard pins. This allows excess paint to run off easily and prevents the stretcher frame from sticking to the surface as it dries. Now mix the colours in the 3 cups. To do this, mix the white, dark green and vermilion colours in a ratio of 1:2 with the pouring medium and stir well. The ratio is only a rough guide and therefore does not need to be weighed out. Then add a few drops of silicone oil to each colour and stir well again.
2.Cover the work area generously and position the stretcher frame. Pour the white paint over the stretcher frame. Then spread it evenly with a spatula. The colour should also run over the edge so that it can cover the side edges evenly.
3.Using the green mixed paint, drip dots in a circle onto the fresh white paint. First a dot at the top and bottom centre of the edge. Then one on the left and right of the centre edge. Then drip 2 more dots between every two dots so that you end up with 12 dots arranged in a circle on the stretcher, similar to the numbers on a clock. These green dots serve as a guide to make the wreath round. They will no longer be visible later.
4.Pour some green mixed paint onto the lid. Press the metal sponge slightly into shape so that it is no longer round but rather elongated. Dip the metal sponge into the green paint and then dab it onto the stretcher frame. Roll the sponge from the outside of the wreath to the centre of the wreath and lift it off again. Repeat the process along the green dots until a complete wreath has been created. The sponge can also be dabbed onto the stretcher frame several times. However, as soon as there is too much white colour on it, it should be dabbed off with kitchen paper. Then pick up the green paint again and continue working.
5.The green colour can be corrected a little with a wooden stick. To do this, simply pull the tip of the wooden stick through the fresh layers of colour in the appropriate place. Clean the tip of the wooden stick on a piece of kitchen paper and then pick up some red paint with the flat side. Then dab this onto the stretcher frame. Run a spatula along the underside of the stretcher frame to remove any drops of white paint. Leave everything to dry for about 24 hours.
