Instructions
1. | Cut 90 cm from the olive-coloured cord and 150 cm from the cream-coloured cord. Fold both ends of the olive-coloured cord together and attach the middle to the carabiner with an anchor knot (forwards). Lay the right-hand cord to the left and the left-hand cord to the right. Fold the ends of the cream-coloured cord together and attach the resulting middle to the overlapping olive green cords with an anchor knot (backwards). Pull everything tight. |
2. | Continue working with both left-hand cords (olive and cream). Lay the cream-coloured cord over the olive-coloured cord and guide it from below through the gap to the left. Place the same thread under the olive-coloured cord and pass it from the top through the gap to the left. Repeat this step. Then work in the same way on the opposite side (reversed). Lay the cream-coloured cord over the olive-coloured cord and guide it from below through the gap to the right. Place the same thread under the olive-coloured cord and pass it from the top through the gap to the right. Repeat this step as well. |
3. | Lay the right-hand olive-coloured cord to the left and the left-hand olive-coloured cord to the right. Place the right-hand cream-coloured cord under the two olive-coloured cords and guide it down from above through the space in between. Place the left cream-coloured cord under the two olive-coloured cords and pull it down from the top through the space in between. Pull everything tight. The first cream-coloured flower is finished. |
4. | Cross knots now follow. Work with the olive-coloured cords and use the cream-coloured cords as guides around which to knot. Lay the right-hand olive-coloured cord over the two guide threads to the left. Place the left olive-coloured cord over the olive-coloured cord from the right. Pass the left working thread (upper) under the two carrier threads and through the gap to the front. Tighten the working threads and push them towards the flower. Make the second knot the other way round. Make the third knot in the same way as the first knot. |
5. | Lay the right-hand olive-coloured cord to the left and the left-hand olive-coloured cord to the right. Place the right-hand cream-coloured cord under the two olive-coloured cords and guide it down from the top through the space in between. Place the left-hand cream-coloured cord under the two olive-coloured cords and pull it down through the gap from above. Pull tight. The first petal of the second flower is finished. Repeat the pattern (from stitch 2) as often as you like. Finally, attach the key ring next to the macramé flower chain to the carabiner. |
